$25 for Six Belly-Dance Classes ($72 Value)

Held on Sunday afternoons from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Decatur School of Ballet, Beginner belly-dance classes cover basic movements as well as combination steps and the use of finger cymbals. Intermediate/Advanced classes are held on Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Harmony Learning Center and build on the basics by adding layered movements and special props as students build their own dance routines.



Bellydance by Saroya

Belly dance guru Saroya has been practicing and teaching the middle eastern dance form for more than two decades, a career path that has taken her across the country to numerous competitions and festivals. At Bellydance by Saroya, she imparts her routine expertise on students of all ability, leading beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes that make use of layered movements and zills—finger cymbals—to help maintain rhythm and keep thumbs in shape.
