Attorney James Layton Koenig graduated from Washington & Lee University in Virginia, and New York Law School (Class of 1987). During law school, Mr. Koenig spent as much time as possible clerking with criminal defense lawyers.
Since the Supreme Court’s landmark 2005 decision in United States v. Booker and United States v. Fanfan, the role of defense counsel in sentencing has expanded dramatically.
